The weapons of Enemy Territory and their effects
EasyRider on Sunday 27 April 2003 - 23:34:12 | Read/Post Comment: 36

There's a nice guide showing all weapons in ET with their efficiency at Game-Foundation.com.

In this little Guide you will find all the weapons of Wolfenstein : Enemy Territory
and a value for the damage that inflict on the health-points of another Player.
Scroll down, and there you will find an exra section about the explosives and
other weapons that can be used in the game.

List The Bugs!
0w3n on Sunday 27 April 2003 - 20:34:29 | Read/Post Comment: 1

I have set up a guestbook type site that will enable the Enemy Territory community to let the devolpers know of any bugs. Instead of them recieving many e-mails I just thought this would be an easier and more productive way. If you have found any bugs in the test please to go to ETBugs.tk and submit what you have found.

ET Skilllevels of all classes
EasyRider on Sunday 27 April 2003 - 18:28:54 | Read/Post Comment: 15

I found an excellent documentation about the function of the skilllevels you can reach in ET and whatfor they are and translated it into English.

That's how it starts:
This is a very detailed documentation about the skill levels in ET put together by GF.ggsnake and GF.MirRo from the German RTCW clan Game Foundation. After a test period of five hours they analysed almost every level and learned how to increase them.

Every of the five classes has Battle Sense and Light Weapons, and of course their class specific weapons.

Wolf Tactics is a class-based teamplay modification for Return to Castle Wolfenstein. 9 classes are planned, each with a unique combination of weapons and abilities. WT will fully utilize and support RtCW's gameplay types (Assault, Stopwatch, Checkpoint) as well as add several new types such as 'old school' double CTO (Capture the Objective, or CTF) and an altered version of Checkpoint called Capture & Hold.

New PunkBuster version 1.032
entr0py on Saturday 26 April 2003 - 20:49:00 | Read/Post Comment: 34

Evenbalance.com has released a new version (1.032) of their anti cheat software PunkBuster for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

It fixes several bugs like the well-known "CDKey in use at different IP Adress" bug many had problems with. It should update automatically if you connect to a W:ET server that runs PB. If you want to update your PB manually you can use the PBweb utility.

Where to put mines as an Axis engineer
EasyRider on Saturday 26 April 2003 - 14:44:18 | Read/Post Comment: 23

This is a simple manual for axis engineers where they can plant their landmines. If you are already an experienced ET gamer it won't be that helpful for you.

The following pictures show nice spots where you can plant the mines.
You can either use them to stop a tank or to blow up allies soldiers. Mines are very helpful especially on the Testmap of the Demoversion.

But don't forget your team can only place a maximum of 10 mines!

Enemy Territory Testversion released!
EasyRider on Thursday 24 April 2003 - 12:51:20 | Read/Post Comment: 31

Today is the day. There's the first public Enemy Territory release to download. It's a full playable testmap called Fueldump. You can watch its screenshots in the screenshot area. You can either download a Windows or Linux version.

Here's a excerpt of the official Activision announcement:
This is a TEST and players may find compatibility and performance issues that will be addressed before the final release. The purpose of this test is to report these issues so that we can address them prior to the release of the game. Players should also understand that the system requirements listed below are very close to what we expect in the release version.

Of course ET.com will also offer a download. Certainly still today. I still brood over how to manage the high traffic.

Until then try downloading it at Fileplanet.com. Most other sources couldn't manage the high traffic and are down.
